Mike Neidig
Vice President / Senior Instructor
In 2008, Mike attended Don Leonardi’s training class, gaining a foundation in HVAC knowledge along with an ambition to excel in the industry. He has been working in HVAC in a variety of technical roles since then. His career includes residential and commercial HVAC work as well as owning and operating his own HVAC business for more than seven years. In 2023, he took over the Leonardi HVAC Training Center. Mike has been married since 2012, and he and his wife have three kids and a labradoodle. He is dedicated to God and his family. His passions are outdoorsman activities, music, and all things HVAC. Mike and his wife are still close friends of Don and Diane Leonardi, and he is honored to continue Don’s incredible legacy in HVAC training.

The History of Leonardi
Founded in 2014 by industry veteran Don Leonardi, the Leonardi HVAC Training Center was established to address the growing demand for skilled HVAC professionals. With over 30 years of experience Don led the center with a passion for education and a commitment to excellence.
Don's journey began in 1992 at Denver Institute of Technology (D.I.T.) as an accredited HVAC instructor. His extensive background as a Residential Technician, Commercial/Industrial Technician, and HVAC company owner laid the foundation for designing and implementing D.I.T.'s associate degree program. In 1993, Don achieved RSES CM certification, showcasing his dedication to industry excellence.
Recognizing the need for NATE Certification in Colorado, Don traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, in 2000 to acquire this prestigious certification. This led to the implementation of a NATE training program at local parts houses and distributors. As demand for NATE Certification training grew, Don furthered his commitment by contracting with a local supply house in 2007, transitioning into full-time training and developing a comprehensive course.
In 2014, Leonardi HVAC Training Center was born, bringing together years of industry expertise and a proven track record of successful training methodologies. Don's commitment to the success of our students is evident in his belief that a combination of classroom learning, hands-on tasks in fully operational labs, and interaction with fellow students creates the most beneficial learning environment.
As a result, Leonardi HVAC Training Center has become a beacon of excellence in Denver, continuously evolving its programs to stay ahead of industry trends and deliver cutting-edge training.
